Description Gyproc FireStrip is a soft extruded linear gap seal introduced for use within Gyproc partition deflection head details. When exposed to flames and heat, Gyproc FireStrip undergoes controlled expansion or intumescence reacting to form a carbonised foam. This char resists the passage of smoke and flames and helps to insulate the metal channel beneath. Gyproc FireStrip is supplied in 3.6m rolls and is simply applied by hand before fixing the Gypframe head channel assembly to the soffit. Field of Application Suitable for use with Gypframe metal for fire rated systems. Gyproc FireStrip is used where the soffit shows signs of undulation or small gaps, cracks or holes appear in the substrate.
